Recommendations for the best in New York City comedy tonight…are to stay home.

Because of the hurricane heading our way, Mayor Bloomberg is shutting down mass transit starting noon today and running through at least Sunday night.

FringeNYC 2011 has canceled the final two days of its wonderful festival (for details, please click here); and so have virtually all comedy shows.

 Stay home and be safe.

Comedy listings will resume here on Monday.
